Unhealthiest Drinks

Check out the article The Unhealthiest Drinks in America 2009 by Dave Zinczenko and Matt Goulding from Men’s Health.  Some of these drinks are ridiculous – way more calories than you should consume in a day (1500-1800 on a weight loss diet combined with exercise) and sugar in a week (32g of sugar a day, or 224g per week).

Così Gigante Double OH! Arctic, 1210 calories, 259g sugar

Cold Stone Creamery “Gotta Have It” PB&C (Peanut butter and caramel)  Shake, 2010 calories, 153g sugar

Smoothie King’s The Hulk, Strawberry, 2088 calories, 240g sugar

    Great post! We should be aware of what we eat and even drink. These drinks could look very enticing but see how much calories they contain.

    Yes, it is truly shocking. I recently was at Dairy Queen and wondered about the nutritional content of their newer MooLatte coffee drinks. I knew it wouldn’t be pretty.

    After investigating I also find out that the DQ drinks also contain soft serve ice cream, which just adds to the mess. Around or more than 600 calories for every drink! The new McDonald’s McCafe line of coffee drinks doesn’t contain ice cream and is a more sober 120-300 calorie range.

    I think I’ll stick to tea and plain coffee! Thanks for the link.
