After “The Worst Drinks in America” what can we have this summer?


A reader told me that the new iced coffees from McD’s weren’t a calorie trap, so I investigated and came up with a list from a few places that we can hit up this summer!

  • McD’s small iced coffee, 120 calories, 6g fat, 16g sugar
  • McD’s Rolo small iced coffee 120 calories, 11g fat, 28g sugar
  • Tim Horton’s small iced cappuccino with milk, 150 calories, 1.5g fat, 3g sugar
  • Diary Queen Small Chocolate Cone, 240 calories, 7g fat, 34g sugar
  • Diary Queen Small Chocolate Sundae, 120 calories, 6g fat, 16g sugar 300 calories, 7g fat, 46g sugar (I know 46 is high but I do like the occasional sundae)

Most places, especially fast food places have their nutritional menus online.  When I get a craving, before going to indulge I take a look online to see what the damage would be…hence knowing that you can have 2 DQ sundaes for the damage done by a Baskin Robbins one…although I love Baskin Robbins.  Their ice cream does not irritate my stomach (lactose intolerance) they way “milk products” do.  And you can have a mint choc chip/gold medal ribbon sundae…

Baskin Robbins does have “sugar not added” ice cream which saves some calories.  BR has a nutritional menu for each ice cream.
