Britney Spears – Diet and Workout Routine


As we all know, Britney has gotten in shape in the last year for her tour.  She has done an amazing transformation with her body.  It is not what is was in 2001 when she was dancing on stage with a snake or in the I’m A Slave video, but it’s way better than the bloated shaved-head days in the midst of her junk food addiction.  I think she has nice legs, especially in the blue shorts.  Below is her current (Dec. 2008) workout and meal plan designed to lose weight.

Cardio, 3 sessions per week

  • 5-10 minute warm-up
  • 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity at 55%-75% of predicted maximum heart rate*
  • 5-10 minute cool-down
  • 10 minutes stretching and toning

Resistance training, 1-3 sets (depending on desired muscle growth and toning) of 8-12 repetitions:

  • Leg extension
  • Leg curl
  • Chest Press
  • Shoulder Press
  • Seated row
  • Bicep curl
  • Tricep extension
  • Abdominal crunch


  • Six small meals a day of specially prepared organic food – chicken, salads, vegetables and other low-fat fare.
  • Cut out barbecue sauces and gravies
  • Eat more protein – especially on tour
  • Eat complex carbs such as brown rice, vegetables and wholegrain breads


I read somewhere that in the bid Britney hay-days that she did 1000 crunches a day.  I can believe it, giving her stomach in this snake pic!  Mmm jealous?! Yup.
