Green Tea – Weight Loss Tool?


I’m trying to drink green tea in place of my AM coffee…some days I can do it!  My nutritionist put it in my diet.  Up to 4 cups a day.  From

A: Green tea is a natural antioxidant. One study showed that men who consumed green tea and caffeine burned more calories than those who consumed a placebo and caffeine. I would not conclude from this single study, though, that green tea can really help you lose weight. And remember, natural does not always mean “good for you.” In this case, however, green tea does have some healthful properties, but they are related to its effects as an antioxidant and not to any effect it has on weight loss.
