Staying Motivated

Most people have been or are on a diet.  It’s a lifestyle change that usually is uncomfortable especially when you have an urge to go back to your old ways.  Eating right, correct portions and keeping an exercise schedule can be hard.

Here’s some tips on keeping yourself motivated.  From EverydayHealth.com:

  1. Set large and small goals (example: big goals like losing 10, 15, 20 pounds, small goals like trying to eat more vegetables, clothes fitting better or better quality sleep)
  2. Skip take0ut
  3. Turn off the TV (more often)
  4. Accept cravings (use moderation!)
  5. Get more sleep
  6. Join a group or get a diet buddy (I enjoy classes and bootcamp with a friend, rec volleyball)
  7. Get moving
  8. Reward yourself
