Apples

My favourite daily food snack is a nice Red Delicious apple.  Apples make me feel full for a while.  They are what I eat 30min-60min before a workout.  They are good for you.  Apples can help you eat less and satisfy you.  Some diets and nutritionists recommend an apple a day, or an apple before a meal.  I think that an apple and cottage cheese is as filling as a plateful-meal.  Try an apple with your mid-morning or afternoon snack.  Apples are:

  • Full of fiber (1/2 the fiber you need in a day is in one apple)
  • Apples are cheap food
  • Apples are transportable
  • Many different types, tastes and textures of apples
  • Low calories
  • Full of vitamins
