Ab Lounger (Ab Lounge)
From EverydayHealth.com:
Q: I am wondering if using an Ab Lounger will provide a good exercise on the days that I am not riding a bike or walking to lose extra weight?
A: The Ab Lounger — a piece of exercise equipment regularly advertised on television — uses resistance training to create a “fancy” sit-up that helps to tighten and tone abdominal muscles. It is not going to burn a significant amount of calories, however, and thus does not significantly contribute to weight loss. The Ab Lounger is NOT a substitute for bike riding, walking, or other aerobic activities that burn calories effectively. To lose weight — and more importantly, keep it off — you need to exercise at a moderate intensity for about 200 to 300 minutes per week. Walking and bike riding are two great examples of moderately-intense exercises.
