Wings: The Bad Is In The Sauce

“Ten Buffalo wings tossed in hot sauce from Duff’s contain 539 calories, 28 grams of fat and a staggering 2,636 mg of sodium.

The calories in the wings are a tad high for a moderate meal, and the fat is about a third of what the average man and about 40 per cent of what the average woman should have in a day.

“At this point, it’s not terrible,” says registered dietitian Zannat Reza.

“But the sodium is way over the maximum daily limit, which is 2,300 mg. The 2,636 mg is the same as what’s found in 11 small bags of potato chips. Would you really eat that many potato chips?”
